A romantic relationship between two people is no longer the only model for living out love, intimacy and sexuality. Faced with polyamory, “friends with benefits” and new relationship constellations, we ask ourselves what makes a good relationship – outside traditional norms. Ole Liebl, author of Freunde lieben [“Loving Friends”], and ethics professor Toni Loh (works such as “Polyamorie und Ethik” [“Polyamory and Ethics”] discuss how relationships can be envisioned and experienced – consensually, polyamorously, in friendship. What does it mean to take responsibility in a relationship network? What values do such constellations have and how can the balance of power be recalibrated? How political are our most intimate decisions? Between theory and the day-to-day, ideals and practical application, the question is how it might look to live together in a fairer, freer and more honest way. Host: Stephanie Rohde
