All aboard for outer space! Humanity’s next frontier. With Sibylle Anderl, Stephan Hobe and Hans Königsmann
It seems to have been decided that space is the next frontier for humans to conquer. Realistic plans are being made for people to travel to Mars, the moon’s resources are set to be exploited in the near future, and space is becoming more important for the military, too. Technology is progressing apace. This all has huge technical, economic, scientific, philosophical and legal implications. Stephan Hobe is one of the few German experts on space law. Hans Königsmann was SpaceX’s vice president for flight reliability from 2011 to 2021 and is extremely familiar with the challenges of forays into space. Sibylle Anderl is a philosopher and astrophysicist and heads the Knowledge desk at the weekly newspaper “Die Zeit”. A conversation about the present and future of humankind – in space.
