About Sibylle Anderl

Born in 1981, Sibylle Anderl is a prize-winning science journalist. After studying physics and philosophy, she received her doctorate and conducted research in astrophysics. She was an editor for the arts and culture section of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, where she also headed up the science section for the daily and weekly editions. Since 2024, she has been the head of the “Wissen” section of newspaper Die Zeit. In addition, she is co-publisher of the culture magazine Kursbuch. Her new book “Bequeme neue Welt. Was wir gewinnen, wenn wir uns etwas zumuten” explores the downsides of today’s technology-enabled comfort and will be published in autumn 2026.
