About Xu Jilin
Xu Jilin holds the history chair at the East China Normal University. He was a senior visiting scholar at Harvard University (USA), the University of British Columbia (Canada), the École des Haute Études en Sciences Sociales (France), the University of Tokyo (Japan) and the Free University of Berlin (Germany). His research focuses on Chinese history, contemporary Chinese thought and cultural sciences.
