About Rabea Weihser
Rabea Weihser, born in 1981, was head of the culture, travel, fashion, and lifestyle departments at ZEIT ONLINE. In 2021, she moved to basketball champions ALBA BERLIN for two years as the Bundesliga's first director of communications and culture. Since 2023, she has been working as a freelance journalist and author. In spring 2025, her non-fiction debut “Wie wir so schön wurden. Eine Biografie des Gesichts” (How We Became So Beautiful: A Biography of the Face) was published by Diogenes. Since September, she has been discussing the political and psychological foundations of current beauty ideals with her guests every month in the “Beauty Salon” at Berlin's Urania.
