About Yasmine M'Barek
Yasmine M’Barek is a journalist and author. She graduated from the Cologne School of Journalism for politics and business and is a writer for Die Zeit. In 2020, she was chosen as one of the “top 30 under 30” journalists by Medium Magazin. She published the book “Radikale Kompromisse” [“Radical Compromises”] in 2022, followed in September 2023 by her essay “Protest – Über Wirksamkeit und Risiken des zivilen Ungehorsams” [“Protest – On Effectiveness and Risks of Civil Disobedience”]. Yasmine is a regular guest on political TV talk shows. Until 2025, she interviewed high-profile German politicians such as Olaf Scholz, Heidi Reichinnek, Katharina Dröge and Jens Spahn, on the ZEIT podcast “Ehrlich jetzt?”. Several times a week, she discusses the latest politics and pop culture news with her guests or with co-host Markus Feldenkirchen in the podcast “Apokalypse & Filterkaffee”. Her new essay collection “I Feel You” appeared in 2025.
