About René Scheu
René Scheu holds a doctorate in philosophy, is an Italian studies scholar and author. From 2016 to 2021, he was head of the Features desk at the newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung, since then he has been Managing Director of the Institute for Swiss Economic Policy (IWP) at the University of Lucerne. He has published and edited numerous books, most recently "Sätze über Sätze. ABC des wachen Denkens" (with Markus Gabriel) and "Gespräch und Gestalt. Entspannte Interviews" with Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Maxim Biller, Jörg Baberowski, Klaus Doldinger, Woody Harrelson, Oliver Stone, Elif Shafak and others.
