About Peter Wohlleben
Born in 1964, Peter Wohlleben studied forestry and worked for more than 20 years as an official in the state forest administration. Today he works at the forest academy he founded in the Eifel region of Germany and is an activist for the return of primeval forests worldwide. He has appeared as a guest on several TV shows, holds talks and seminars and has authored books on topics relating to forests and nature conservation. He has excited readers around the globe with his best sellers “The Hidden Life of Trees”, “The Inner Life of Animals” and “The Secret Wisdom of Nature”. The magazine “Wohllebens Welt” has been published since 2019. He was presented with the Bavarian medal for nature protection in 2019. In 2020, 350,000 people watched the film based on his book “The Hidden Life of Trees”.
