About Maria-Sibylla Lotter

Maria-Sibylla Lotter was born in Kassel in 1961. She studied philosophy, religious studies and ethnology in Freiburg, Berlin and St. Louis. She obtained her post-doctoral qualification in Zurich in 2010. Since 2014, she has been a professor of ethics and aesthetics at Ruhr University Bochum. She also writes regularly for the newspapers Neue Zürcher Zeitung and Die Zeit. She lives in Freiburg.
