About Maike Luhmann

Born in 1981, Maike Luhmann is a professor of Psychological Methods at Ruhr University Bochum and has made a name for herself with numerous publications on the topic of loneliness. Previously, she was a researcher and lecturer at the University of Cologne, University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Chicago and Free University of Berlin. As part of the expert network on loneliness, she advises the German government on its strategy to combat loneliness. She lives in Bochum.
