About Kai Michel

Kai Michel, born in 1967 in Hamburg, is a historian and literary scientist. His books regularly appear on the bestseller lists. With Carel van Schaik, he reads the bible as a “diary of humanity” in “Tagebuch der Menschheit” (2016). In “The Truth About Eva” (2020), they present an award-winning analysis of the origin of gender inequality. And in “Mensch sein” [“Being Human”] (2022), they explain why we exist in a state of emergency. With Harald Meller, Michel wrote the bestsellers “Die Himmelsscheibe von Nebra” [“The Nebra Sky Disk”] (2018), “Griff nach den Sternen” [“Reaching for the Stars”] (2021) and “The Mystery of the Shaman” (2023). The author divides his time between Zurich and the Black Forest.
