About Jörg Lau
Jörg Lau began his career in journalism in the arts and culture section of the newspapers TAZ and Die Zeit. As a fellow of the German Marshall Fund and at the Center for European Studies at Harvard, he sharpened his journalistic focus on international politics, before becoming a foreign policy correspondent for Die Zeit in Berlin. From 2013 until 2022, he was in charge of the international politics section of Die Zeit in Hamburg. Since then, he has been a Berlin-based international correspondent for the newspaper. His book “Words That Rule the World” (2025) was published by Droemer Knaur and became a Der Spiegel bestseller.
