Born in 1965 in Ulm, Joachim Frank studied theology, philosophy and art history. After working for several years in the service of the church, he turned to the profession of journalism. He was a capital-city correspondent, assistant editor in chief of the newspaper “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger” and editor in chief of “Frankfurter Rundschau”. He has been working as the chief correspondent at the DuMont media group since 2011. Church politics and theology are some of the main themes he focuses on in his work. He has received numerous awards for his writing. Frank also writes books and volunteers as the chairman of the Catholic journalists’ association GKP.
