About Ingrid Brodnig
Ingrid Brodnig is an expert on the societal impacts of digitalization and debate culture. The author and journalist holds talks and workshops and provides tips on how people can react to phenomena such as hate speech and disinformation. Her recent bestsellers “Einspruch! Fake News und Verschwörungsmythen kontern” (2021) and “Wider die Verrohung. Über die gezielte Zerstörung öffentlicher Debatten” (2024) explore, respectively, how to counter fake news and conspiracy theories and how public debates are being systematically destroyed. Her recently published book “Feindbild Frau” [“Woman as Enemy”] looks at how female politicians are harassed online and what we can do about it. For her work, Ingrid Brodnig has received numerous honors, including the Bruno Kreisky Special Award for a political book.
