About Hanno Sauer
Hanno Sauer is a professor of philosophy at Utrecht University. He obtained his doctorate in 2014 and his post-doctoral qualification in 2019. He has authored numerous scientific papers and monographs. His book “The Invention of Good and Evil. A World History of Morality” was published in 2024. The original German version was a Der Spiegel bestseller and was nominated for the German Non-Fiction Prize. The book was translated into several languages and named as one of the best books of 2024 by The New Yorker. Hanno Sauer lives with his family in Düsseldorf.
