About Götz Aly
Historian and journalist Götz Aly has worked as a guest professor and for newspapers such as taz and Berliner Zeitung. His books have been translated into many languages. He has received honors such as the Heinrich Mann Prize, the Marion Samuel Prize and the Ludwig Börne Award. His works, including “Why the Germans? Why the Jews?” (2011) and “Die Belasteten” (2013), were published by S. Fischer. His sweeping study of the European history of anti-Semitism and the Holocaust, entitled “Europe Versus the Jews 1880–1945”, appeared in February 2017. He was awarded the Geschwister Scholl Prize in 2018 for this book.
