About Didier Eribon
Didier Eribon, born in 1953 in Reims, is a French sociologist, author and philosopher. His book “Returning to Reims”, originally published in French in 2009, raised his profile over the border as well when it was published in German translation in 2016. The autofictional essay was celebrated as a literary event and a key text to understand the rise of right-wing populism. In 2024 he was presented with the Prix de l’Académie de Berlin for his work.
