About Andreas Rödder
Andreas Rödder was born in 1967 in Wissen (Sieg). Since 2005, he has been a professor of contemporary history at the University of Mainz, focusing on international history of the 19th and 20th century. Among other things, he is co-publisher of the journal Historische Zeitschrift, a member of the scientific advisory board of the Haus der Geschichte in Bonn/Leipzig and of the European Council Studies network. Moreover, he is a member of the board of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and president of the Stresemann Society. His most recent publications are “21.0. A short history of our time” (2016) and “Der verlorene Frieden. Vom Fall der Mauer zum neuen Ost-West-Konflikt” [“The Lost Peace: From the Fall of the Berlin Wall to the New East-West Conflict”] (2024).
