About Paraskevi Mavrogiorgou-Juckel
Prof. Dr. med. Georg Juckel and Prof. Dr. med. Paraskevi Mavrogiorgou are specialists in psychiatry and psychotherapy (depth psychology and behavioral therapy). Following stints at the university hospitals in Berlin and Munich, they have been in senior positions at Ruhr University Bochum for 20 years. Their work focuses on early recognition of mental disorders and the connections between psychotherapy, neurobiology and counseling. Their most recent books are “Zeit-Endlichkeit-Liebe – Das subjektive Erleben bei psychischen Störungen” [“Time-Mortality-Love – the Subjective Experience of Mental Disorders”] and “Wenn die Seele wieder Frieden findet: Warum die alten Geschichten der Bibel uns heute Halt geben” [“How the Soul Finds Peace Again: Why the Old Stories from the Bible Give Us Strength Today”], both published in 2023.
