Ethics. Wisdom. Transformation. With Michael Hampe, Sandra Venghaus and Christiane Woopen
with Christiane Woopen Sandra Venghaus Gert Scobel Michael Hampe
There is a kind of universal answer to the multi-crisis scenario of the present: Transformation! We need transformation, that seems certain: But what does this mantra mean? As much as discussion focuses on the technical aspects of changes such as the energy transition: So far, ethical aspects have only played a subordinate role, especially since they are often perceived as disruptive in political debates. From a philosophical perspective, too, the question arises as to whether we might not be able to organise our lives better if we focused on wisdom instead of growth and on sustainable satisfaction instead of consumption. What can ethics and wisdom contribute to our ability to successfully master major transformations? Medical ethicist Christiane Woopen, philosopher Michael Hampe and Sandra Venghaus explore this question. Mod.: Gert Scobel
