Dr. Elisabeth Wehling, born in 1981, studied sociology, journalism and linguistics in Hamburg, Rome and Berkeley. She took her doctorate in linguistics at the University of California; her professional focus is on researching political values, language and cognition. Since 2013 she has headed research projects on ideology, language and subconscious opinion formation at the International Computer Science Institute in Berkeley. She has published numerous academic papers and is the co-author of “Auf leisen Sohlen ins Gehirn” (2008) and “The Little Blue Book” (2012) together with George Lakoff. Wehling lives in Berkeley, California, and works as a business and political consultant in Europe and the US. Her most recent work is entitled “Politisches Framing” (2016).
