About Wilhelm Schmid
Wilhelm Schmid was born in 1953. He is a freelance philosopher in Berlin and teaches philosophy as an adjunct professor at the University of Erfurt. For many years, he was a guest lecturer in Riga, Latvia, and Tbilisi, Georgia, as well as a philosophical pastoral care provider at a hospital near Zurich, Switzerland. He has given numerous talks, including in China and South Korea since 2010. He won the Meckatzer Philosophy Award in 2012 and the Egnér Award in 2013. His newest book is “Finding a Place to Call Home” (2021).
