About Nicola Gründel
Nicola Gründel was born in Berlin. After studying piano at the Conservatoire National de Région de Paris and under Bruno Rigutto in Paris, she continued her training at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, graduating in 1997 with a diploma (concert discipline). Concurrently, she trained as an actor at the Schauspielhaus Salzburg. Engagements as an actress have taken her to the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel Munich, the Schauspiel Frankfurt (where she also worked as a dancer and performer with Wanda Golonka), the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz and the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin, the Staatsschauspiel Dresden and the Schauspielhaus Graz, among others. She has worked with the Ensemble Modern and the Asko/Schönberg Ensemble. She has been a permanent ensemble member at Schauspiel Köln since the 2013/14 season.
