About Mark Waschke

After graduating from the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art, Mark Waschke began his acting career at Germany’s leading theaters, such as Deutsches Theater and Schaubühne in Berlin and Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. His television and movie career began in 2005 in various television programs such as “KDD - Berlin Crime Squad” and “Tatort”, as well as TV movies such as “An Old Maid” (2007, directed by Hendrik Handloegten) and “Entführt” (2008, directed by Matti Geschonneck). As Berlin Police Commissioner Robert Karow, Waschke has been part of an unusual investigating team with Meret Becker on the program “Tatort” since 2014. Awards for his acting work include the German Television Award, the Bavarian Film Award and the Franz Hofer Prize.
