About Barbara Bleisch
Born in 1973, Barbara Bleisch studied philosophy, German literature and religious studies in Zurich, Basel and Tübingen. She obtained her doctorate at the Center for Ethics at the University of Zurich. Since 2010 she has been the host of the program “Sternstunde Philosophie” for the Swiss radio and television broadcaster SRF and since 2018 she has been a columnist for the newspaper “Tages-Anzeiger”. Bleisch is a member of the Center for Ethics at the University of Zurich and teaches ethics in various continuous education programs offered by universities. Her most recent publications include “Why We Owe Our Parents Nothing” (2018), “Familiäre Pflichten” [“Familial Obligations”] (2015) and “Ethische Entscheidungsfindung” [“Ethical Decision-making”] (2014).
